Aquaprase is a rare, natural form of chalcedony sourced from Africa. Discovered in 2013 by Greek explorerm Yianni Melas.It is known for its vibrant blue-green color and is marketed under the trade name, "aquaprase" which combines aqua (water/sea) and prase (Greek for green).
This strand also has a lot of warm brown to complement the cool aqua tones. The beads are smooth polished and each one has different shades, making each individual a unique piece from Mother Nature. Hand knotted in fawn colored silk and finished with a 14k spring ring clasp, this necklace measures 18”.
The beads in this necklace are graduated and range in size from 6-9mm. The carved pumpkin tassel pendant is sold separately and can be layered on a long chain, or can be attached to this necklace if reconfigured. Please inquire prior to purchasing, as pricing will differ.
