This one of a kind necklace features a beautiful amethyst stalactite slice as the focal, and is strung and strategically knotted on silk with tanzanite heishi. The tanzanite is a vibrant shade of purplish blue and is a striking complement to the stalactite.
Amethyst stalactites are rare specimens found inside amethyst geodes. They are formed millions of years ago in hot lava as gas pockets. From there, fluid silica penetrates inside, and together with a combination of iron particles, it creates the purple tone. When all the compositions cool, the quartz crystal is produced inside. The geodes are then sliced and polished on both sides, making them perfect for use in jewelry!
All metal used is 14k gold and the necklace closes with a spring ring clasp.
