A beautiful vintage locket from The Wightman and Hough Company of Rhode Island. This lovely gold filled locket features its original paste, and is in wonderful vintage condition. The locket is hallmarked in the interior with the iconic W&H heart, and the locket closes with a satisfying click. The back of the locket is free of any monograms, which is unusual to find. The interior has space for two photos, but the original covers are missing.
Suspended from a hand knotted silk necklace of 4mm black spinel rondelles and a pavé diamond clasp in sterling silver. The locket is removable from the necklace and the necklace can be worn with other pieces in your collection.

The Wightman and Hough Company was a popular manufacturer of lockets during the early 1900's in the Providence, Rhode Island (United States.) Their hallmark often included a tiny heart within the interior of the locket stamped W&H Co.
