Released from my personal collection, this vintage 18k plique à jour enamel pendant was created in France, and was modeled after one of the stained glass windows of Notre Dame. The term “plique-à-jour” translates to “letting in daylight” for the reason that light is able to pass through the colored enamel similar to stained glass. I happen to think it looks beautiful with colorful gemstones, such as these yellow and orange sapphires, but it can also be purchased separately.
Condition: Good. All of the enamel is intact, which is sometimes difficult to find with vintage pieces. There is a slight curve to the medal, which I only noticed when photographing, and does not detract from its beauty. The pendant was purchased from another dealer on Instagram, and I have decided to part with it because I have one similar in size to it already.
Pendant measures 16mm
The hand fabricated sapphire chain is 16" in length, and made to order. When purchased WITH the pendant, a discount has been applied. The sapphires are strung on silk cord for a beautiful drape, and the necklace is finished with a 14k gold clasp from which you can suspend the pendant. The clasp can be used for other charms and pendant in your jewelry box, as well.
Your jewelry will ship with tracking and will be packaged in a lovely gift box.
