Floriography, or the Victorian Language of Flowers, was developed as a way to secretly communicate during a time when proper etiquette discouraged overt displays of emotion. First emerging in 1819, this coded “language” was used widely throughout England and America during the 19th century.
"Daisy" is a one of a kind necklace is a collaboration between my friend, @gisellekolbjewelry and me. Giselle created the beautiful Ethiopian opal pendant, hand fabricating each component with a combination of sterling silver and solid 18k gold. The tiny flower and leaves are all hand made and vitreous enamel was used to create the beautiful color you see on the flower.
The silk strung necklace, created by me, includes faceted ombré orange and yellow sapphires finished with a solid 14k gold lobster clasp. The necklace measures approximately 17 1/2" in length. The last photo shows it paired with another sapphire necklace in my shop, available here: https://thebijoubabe.com/collections/solid-gold-14kt-and-18kt/products/14k-yellow-and-orange-sapphire-necklace
