A beautiful vintage locket with its original dark paste in a trefoil design and ribbon-like swirls around the border is suspended from a pavé diamond clasp in sterling silver and a hand knotted chain of 5mm black spinel. The locket's design is very much a French design to me, but I do not know its provenance. It is in wonderful vintage condition, with only minor wear to the raised portion of the "ribbons" (not very noticeable and does not detract from the beauty) and some wear to the back of the locket, which is shown. The locket closes with a satisfying click and the back of the locket is free of any monograms, which is unusual to find. The interior has space for two photos, along with its original celluloid covers.
The locket is removable from the necklace and the necklace can be worn with other pieces in your collection.
