The antique French locket is gold filled, but don’t let that fool you. The jewelry manufacturer who produced these pieces in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s created such fine pieces that they were often mistaken for solid 18kt gold. The locket has been filled with rhodolite garnets which move around like a kaleidoscope, and the suspended from a hand fabricated chain of multi colored garnet rondelles and citrine.
The locket frame has a beautiful design, and the glass is original to the piece. The top of the locket will be sealed with jeweler's cement, as the top is a tad loose, and this will prevent it from opening.
The necklace features rhodolite and spessartine garnet, as well as amethyst and citrine rondelles. All metal used is gold filled.
